“Do you want to take a walk, Lauralee?” he asked. “I can show you around a bit.”
“I’ve seen it before,” I told him.
“Yeah, but not for a long time. Maybe it has changed a bit since we were younger running around in the fields together.”
Something about the statement excited me, and sent a flutter low in my abdomen. A lot of things had most certainly changed since we were younger, and I started to think that I might not mind another chance to run around in those fields with Ted.
